Conclusion
Animal diseases are closely related to human health. Man´s efforts have been successfully resulted in the control or eradication against the diseases as an application of epidemiologic knowledge for it. Zoonoses are a very important problem of public health in Korea. It is emphasized that effective control of the diseases with limited budget in Korea needs an application of new technical knowledge of epidemiology for the operation research or cost/benefit analysis.
From the view-points of comparative medicine in transition, a joint participation in the development of korean veterinary public health should be carried out between medical and veterinary scientists.
